Meet Ella

Where are you going to school?

I’m currently attending the University of St. Thomas.

What is your major, and when do you graduate?

I’m majoring in marketing with a minor in digital media arts, and I will be a part of the class of 2028.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class so far has been mass media. It was super interesting to learn about everything that goes into media creation, including how influential it is and how it evolves and changes over time.

What interests you most about marketing?

The ability to tailor messaging and strategy to different audiences in order to get different outcomes. It interests me how the same product or service can be positioned differently between groups—and what works for one group probably won’t work for another.

What are your hobbies?

In my free time, I like to play tennis, hang out with friends, go to the beach, watch sports and spend time with my family.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I am super interested in fashion and the fashion industry. I like to help style my friends and explore new fashion trends as they evolve. I find it fascinating how trends are marketed and how brands can shape individual identity.

Meet Mya

Where are you going to school?

I just graduated this spring from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul.

What is your major, and when do you graduate?

I majored in graphic design and minored in marketing and biblical studies, and was part of the class of spring 2025.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class was Drawing II, where I created and curated a series of watercolors featuring several of my favorite midcentury modern chairs. I loved the entire creative process of choosing the specific chairs featured in the collection, along with growing and refining my technical abilities in drawing and painting.

What interests you most about marketing?

What interests me most about marketing is the process of getting to the final outcome. I love that the mission of marketing can be achieved by working alongside a team of talented and strategic individuals to create a lasting impression that has the power to help and impact others. There are so many creative elements in marketing that verbally, visually or in some other way can affect so many people for good.

What are your hobbies?

I love to draw and create, be outside, read and spend time with friends and family.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

Now that I’ve graduated, many people might not know that I played soccer competitively my whole life, including my four years in college. The sport has taught me so many life lessons, brought me some of my closest friends and has played a large part in shaping who I am today. I am so thankful for my years on the field!

Meet Maren

Where are you going to school?

I’m attending the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities.

What is your major, and when do you graduate?

I’m majoring in business and marketing education and am on track to graduate in spring 2027.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class I’ve taken so far is sales training because it helped me develop real-world skills that I could apply immediately. Learning how to communicate effectively, understanding customer needs and building confidence when presenting ideas was extremely beneficial.

What stood out most to me was how the class pushed me outside of my comfort zone. I became more confident speaking in front of others and learned how to handle rejection professionally, which is valuable in any career.

What interests you most about marketing?

It’s interesting how marketing is always evolving, which challenges you to continue to learn, stay creative and be strategic. I’ve always been fascinated by what makes people pay attention, trust a brand or choose one product over the other.

Furthermore, I love how diverse marketing is, from event management to social media. At an agency like Giant, I have been able to explore different areas of marketing to find where I can make the biggest impact.

What are your hobbies?

I really enjoy water skiing, traveling, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, playing with my dogs, reading, shopping, going on hikes, trying new restaurants and more!

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I’ve been involved in the dog show world since I was 7 years old—what began as a childhood passion has grown into a professional career. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for handling excellence and breed knowledge. While I specialize in Doberman Pinschers, a breed I’ve grown up with, I’ve had the privilege of showing over 150 different breeds. My focus is always on presenting each dog at its absolute best while honoring the unique standards of every breed.
